The Builder & The Automator
I have a deep-seated need to know how things work, which usually leads to me taking them apart or building a version of my own. My home is a living laboratory where I run a Home Assistant ecosystem for my very own locally hosted smart home and a Jellyfin media server to streamline my daily life.
A Shutterbug!
My journey with visual storytelling began with a 0.3 MP phone camera. That early spark turned into a lifelong pursuit of perspective. I eventually founded and led “Shutterbugs,” a photography community, and spent years freelancing as a photographer and videographer.
For me, a camera isn’t just a tool; it’s a way to observe the details that data often misses. I’ve carried my lens across the globe, capturing everything from local Philly street scenes to my own travel movies.
The Constant Student
When I’m not at my desk or behind a lens, I’m likely deep-diving into a new skill. I’m a firm believer that the best way to keep your mind sharp is to be a perpetual beginner.
- Music & Gaming: I’ve spent years exploring the fretboard of a guitar, finding a different kind of “flow state” in music than I do in code. On the digital side, I’m a PC gamer with a penchant for high-fidelity setups. I currently run a streaming environment using Playnite and Sunshine to keep my library accessible across my home.
- The Workshop: Lately, my curiosity has moved into hardware. I’m currently teaching myself soldering and 3D printing, treating my workspace like a lab where I can bring digital designs into the physical world.
The Traveler & Global Citizen
Originally from Mumbai and now a proud Philadelphian, I’ve always been driven by a curiosity for new places and cultures. That same drive led me to volunteer as a teacher with U&I, helping give kids access to better education. I believe that whether you’re exploring a new city or a new technology, the goal is the same: to gain a better understanding of the world and find a way to leave it a little better than you found it.
